Hello, my name is Cameron Jung, I am a Senior majoring in Graphic Design at Iowa State University with a minor in Communications. I am from Eagan, Minnesota, and I’ve loved creating since I was young. I loved making things, whether it be characters, creatures, stories, or settings. I especially loved doing drawings for other people; when I went to summer camp, kids would ask me to draw different characters from their favorite shows. It always made me feel happy to see the kids faces, when I was done drawing their character for them.

As I got older, I was at a point where I thought that I couldn't make money through art. So I gave up on that dream and told myself I wanted to learn computer programming to make good money. As I entered my freshman year of college, and went to my computer science classes, I realized that programming didn’t excite me the way creating art did. I had to ask myself if I wanted to do computer programming for the rest of my life, and I realized I would rather do something I love doing than just for the money.

I decided to do something I knew I always loved: drawing. The following semester, I switched to Graphic Design and have been happier ever since. I had forgotten how much I loved creating, and now I put all of my effort into creating new designs. I am willing to work as hard as possible to see my design vision come to life.

I have realized over my college years that I want to pursue a career in Animation. I have taken courses where I have learned how to create 2D and 3D animation. I enjoy animation because I like to see my drawings come to life. I have always admired cartoon and movie animations from my childhood, and I wanted to do something like that with my drawing as a kid.

A fun fact about me is that I have a Black Belt in Taekwondo, and I did it for about seven years. Here is a video of me breaking a board.
